Your Therapy Spot offers Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Services.

We provide Therapy Services in a range of settings, which are flexible and convenient to you. These include:

At your child’s School / Childcare / Kindergarten
In your Home
In the Community (library, local park etc.)
Telehealth (if appropriate for your child and their goals)

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy supports children to develop skills in activities that are meaningful and important to them, whilst building their confidence and independence.

At Your Therapy Spot, the Occupational Therapist has a special interest in working with neurodiverse children; however also provides therapy to children who do not have a diagnosis.

The Occupational Therapist can assess, provide therapy and consult regarding:

Sensory Processing & Regulation
Emotional Regulation
Fine Motor Skills
Gross Motor Skills
Attention/Focus
Handwriting
Self-care/every day routines – dressing, bathing, mealtimes, getting ready for the day, toileting, sleep etc.
Organisation/Planning
Social Skills

Speech Pathology

A Speech Pathologist assesses, diagnoses and treats people that need support with speech, language, and/or social communication.

At Your Therapy Spot, our Speech Pathologists have a special interest in:

Developmental Language Disorder
Receptive and Expressive Language Development
Speech Sound Delays and Disorders
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Intellectual Disability
Executive Functions
Literacy Development including diagnosis and treatment of Dyslexia
Pragmatic/Social Skill Development
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) including Proloquo2Go, TDSnap, Key Word Sign (and many more!)

Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessments

Your Therapy Spot, in collaboration with Minds in Motion Psychology, offers comprehensive (dual) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments. These ASD assessments include an evaluation of your child’s underlying cognitive skills and standardised questionnaires about your child’s social skills and emotional/behavioural functioning.

Dual assessments are conducted by two accredited clinicians - a Psychologist and a Speech Pathologist.
